Head of API Engineering

Job description

A leading and forward-thinking bank in the Philippines is committed to utilising advanced technology to improve financial services and elevate customer satisfaction. They are currently seeking a talented and visionary Head of API Ecosystem to head its API strategy and development.  You will be integrating various systems and facilitating seamless digital experiences for both customers and partners. 

 

Responsibilities
  • Leading the development and execution of the bank's API strategy.

  • Overseeing the design, development and deployment of scalable and secure APIs.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs with various systems.

  • Driving the adoption of best practices in API management, security and governance.

  • Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the bank's API capabilities.

  • Developing and mentoring a high-performing API development team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

 

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within API development and management.

  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing APIs.

  • Evidence of good problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A passion for driving innovation and delivering impactful API solutions.

Salary: Up to US$25k monthly (negotiable) + 2-3 months bonus
