They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Data Engineering to head their data engineering team. This role is pivotal in shaping the bank's data strategy and driving the implementation of advanced data solutions across the organisation.
Responsibilities
Leading and mentoring a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Developing and executing a comprehensive data engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
Overseeing the design, development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and architectures.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
Driving the adoption of best practices in data management, governance and security.
Utilising commercial experience with Databricks to optimise data processing and analytics workflows.
Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the bank's data capabilities.
Requirements
More than 10 years of leadership experience in data engineering or related fields.
Proven commercial experience with Databricks.
Strong expertise in data architecture, ETL processes and data warehousing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for driving innovation and delivering impactful data solutions.
