We're partnering with a leading bank that is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to spearhead their backend development initiatives in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in shaping and delivering cutting-edge banking platforms, guiding teams and driving the development of contemporary Java Spring Boot microservices.
Responsibilities
Head and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
Architect and develop scalable, secure backend solutions using Java & Spring Boot.
Drive best practices in software development, CI/CD and cloud technologies.
Modernise banking systems with cloud-first, API-driven architectures.
Collaborate with global teams to align technology with business goals.
Requirements
More than 10 years of backend engineering experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices.
Demonstrable experience in engineering leadership.
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Kubernetes.
Strong communication skills to engage global stakeholders.
Financial sector experience is a plus.
