Senior Data Architect

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest banks in South East Asia, reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics. This role is crucial as the bank undergoes a massive digital and data transformation across over 1000 branches. Suitable candidate to have experience working in large, customer-focused financial institutions.
This role is open to candidates that are able to relocate to Manila.

 

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data architectures using Azure Databricks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define data models that meet business needs.

  • Develop ETL processes and workflows to ingest, process, and analyse large datasets.

  • Optimise data pipelines and queries for efficiency and performance, leveraging Databricks features like Delta Lake and MLflow.

  • Establish data governance practices and ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on best practices for data architecture and usage of Azure Databricks.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data processing issues, ensuring data quality and availability.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data architecture and analytics.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role with a focus on Azure Databricks.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL tools.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Hadoop.

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

 

Salary: PHP 500,000 per month (negotiable)
