Senior/Lead Micro Focus Developer

Job description

A leading financial institution in the Philippines is looking for a Senior/Lead Micro Focus Developer.  This roles involves spearheading the migration of mainframe workloads to the Micro Focus Enterprise Server. You will be responsible for developing, testing and maintaining COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, DB2, and VSAM applications and integrating MQ and web services. Additionally, you will mentor developers, support implementation and ensure seamless system migrations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Head migration of mainframe workloads to Micro Focus ES.

  • Develop and maintain COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, DB2, VSAM applications on Micro Focus ED and ES.

  • Manage batch execution and deliver all testing phases (ST, SIT, OAT, UAT, PT, UVT).

  • Mentor and train junior developers on Micro Focus tools.

  • Use GitHub or Azure DevOps for version control and collaborative development.

  • Oversee MQ and web services integrations with external systems.

  • Support post-implementation and BAU changes.

 

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience in Micro Focus COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, DB2 and VSAM.

  • Experience with Micro Focus Enterprise Developer and Enterprise Server.

  • Knowledge of GitHub or Azure DevOps for SCM.

  • Experience with MQ and web services integrations.

  • Trade Finance/Banking domain experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrable development, testing and mentoring skills.

 
Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: PHP 2,000,000 - PHP 4,000,000 per annum (based on experience and level)

  • Benefits: Medical benefits, 18-20 days leave
