Principal Cloud Solutions Architect – Based in Manila

Job description

Our client is a global organisation and market leader that provides consulting and advisory services to businesses all over the world. They are currently seeking a senior hands-on technologist well versed with cloud technologies that can work directly with C-suite level executives.  This role requires relocation to Manila if you are not locally based there.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect complex cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring scalability, performance and security.

  • Head cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based applications, integrating with existing systems and frameworks.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and ensure best practices in software development and cloud architecture.

  • Advise clients on how to transform their legacy environments and how to move towards cloud. 

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, optimising both development processes and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of experience in software engineering and cloud architecture.

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native application development.

  • Strong background in software engineering practices, including system design, coding and testing.

  • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices architecture and serverless computing.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor technical teams.
