Platform Architect

Job description

​A unique opportunity to play a critical role in the bank-wide digital transformation at one of the largest banks (1000+ branches) in South East Asia.
The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimising data platform solutions to support analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities, ensuring platform scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture

    • Design secure, high-performance data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.

    • Develop architecture frameworks for Enterprise Data and AI platforms.

    • Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) architecture using Informatica MDM.

    • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture guardrails and governance processes.

  • Platform Performance Optimisation

    • Optimise ETL processes and data pipelines for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

    • Troubleshoot and monitor platform performance issues.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Work with data platform owners, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

    • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to explore new tools and technologies.

    • Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, within the SDLC framework.

Technical Skills

    • Cloud Data Platforms: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake.

    • Databases: SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB.

    • ETL: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Informatica DEI.

    • Master Data Management: Informatica MDM.

    • Performance Optimisation and Cloud Cost Management.

    • DevOps, CI/CD, and automation for data platform deployment.

 

Soft Skills

    • Strategic Thinking & Leadership for aligning platforms with business objectives.

    • Problem-Solving for handling complex platform challenges.

    • Stakeholder Management & Communication to bridge technical and non-technical teams.

    • Mentorship for developing the solution architecture team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, platform engineering, or solution architecture.

  • Experience in enterprise-scale platform solutions.

  • Relevant certifications preferred: TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, Informatica.

  • Strong understanding of security, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Willingness to work onsite in Makati City as required.

 

Salary: PHP 400K - 800K p/m depending on skills and experience.
