Lead Backend Engineer

We’re working with a leading digital bank in Singapore who are hiring for a senior Engineering Lead to head up Backend Java squads.

You will be working in multiple capacities within a lean environment, managing the team while also contributing to architecture and leading from the front in software engineering. The ideal candidate will come from a strong Java development background, with an excellent understanding of Microservices, APIs and public cloud technologies (AWS preferred).

This is a senior technology role reporting into the CTO, where you will be contributing to long-term technology strategy but also involved on the day-to-day software delivery as well.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

• 8+ years of commercial software engineering experience.

• 4+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.

• Strong programming skills with Java or Kotlin.

• Good understanding of Microservices.

• Good understanding of public cloud technologies (AWS preferred).

Salary: Up to SGD$220k negotiable
