VP - Compliance Assurance
Job description
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a VP – Compliance Assurance to join their Singapore team. This is a critical role supporting the integrity and effectiveness of the bank’s compliance framework through independent reviews and rigorous testing across key regulatory domains.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented compliance professional to gainregional and global exposure, contribute to strengthening the control environment, and support sustainable business growth.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Execute risk-based compliance reviews in line with global monitoring & testing frameworks.
Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with MAS, AML/CFT, and FATCA/CRS regulations.
Deliver clear, actionable recommendations to address identified control gaps.
Collaborate with regional/global compliance and audit teams to ensure consistency of assurance activities.
Track and validate the remediation of findings from reviews and regulatory inspections.
Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks, particularly in the private banking space.
🎓 What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
8–10+ years of experience in compliance assurance, audit, or risk review, ideally within private banking or financial services.
Demonstrable knowledge of MAS regulations, AML/CFT standards, and FATCA/CRS requirements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
