Associate Director/ Director, Compliance Onboarding
Job description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Associate Director/ Director of Compliance Onboarding to join the Compliance team at a well-established private bank.
Responsibilities
Conduct due diligence for new client accounts, focusing on high-risk clients including PEPs and assess source of wealth (SOW).
Document onboarding assessments, highlighting potential AML, reputational and sanctions risks.
Advise stakeholders on due diligence, internal policies and regulations.
Support audits, regulatory reporting and process improvements.
Participate in system enhancements and provide ad-hoc support as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CCO, CAMS, or similar) is highly desirable.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in AML/ CDD, within private banking sector or a similar financial institution.
Demonstrable understanding of MAS regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks and risk management practices.
