VP, Legal Counsel (1-Year Contract – Maternity Cover)
Job description
Our client, a distinguished pure play private bank, is looking for a Legal Counsel to cover a 1-year maternity leave within their legal team. This role demands robust expertise in private banking litigation and offer an excellent opportunity to work within a highly esteemed legal department.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on private banking litigation matters, client disputes and regulatory issues.
Manage and coordinate external counsel on complex litigation cases.
Draft, review and negotiate legal documents related to private banking operations.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
Support the legal team on ad-hoc projects and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Qualified lawyer, preferably called to the Singapore Bar.
Minimum 8 years' legal experience with a focus on private banking litigation.
In-house experience within private banking or financial services is highly preferred.
Working knowledge of banking regulations and dispute resolution processes.
Evidence of good analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
