VP, Cloud Security Engineering & Architecture

Job description

Our client, a well-known financial services institution with over 40 years of history, is based in Singapore and has a strong presence in Asia, Europe, and the US. They are expanding their team and looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer/Architect. You will report to the Head of Cloud Security and help improve the firm's cloud security to protect against cyber threats. You will also work with the Technology Risk and Engineering teams to create and implement new security systems, ensuring they meet regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

Enhancing Security Architecture

  • Assess and suggest enhancements to the current enterprise security framework

  • Tackle emerging cybersecurity challenges

Integrating Business and Cybersecurity Needs

  • Harmonise business objectives with cybersecurity, information and technology requirements

  • Develop strategies according to the organisation's risk tolerance

Developing Cybersecurity Systems

  • Conduct evaluations and proofs-of-concept/value

  • Design, construct, and deploy high-level cybersecurity systems

Operational Models and Documentation

  • Create comprehensive security operation models

  • Ensure efficiency, scalability, and sustainability with thorough documentation

Expertise in Cybersecurity and Resilience

  • Serve as a leading expert and reliable partner

  • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders on cybersecurity engineering issues

 
Requirements

  • Holds at least Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or in a similar field of study.

  • Has at least 10 years of relevant experience in Security Engineering and Architecture, with minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Security ideally within the financial services industry

  • Has strong hands-on experience in Public Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

  • Possess strong understanding of data protection (i.e., structured and unstructured data) and NIST framework

  • Demonstrable track record designing security architecture on enterprise cloud platforms

  • Strong expertise in Python programming and DevSecOps tools including IaC, Github, Jenkins etc.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to work with senior stakeholders and various business users

  • Having certifications such as CISSP / CISM / CEH will be a plus
