Technical Lead

​Our client is a global Intelligence Platform provider for major MNC banks, insurance and other Fortune 500 companies. They are looking for a Technical Lead, to join their delivery team. In this role you will play a crucial role in implementing cutting-edge technology across sectors like banking, insurance, and healthcare.
You’ll lead and mentor a team of data engineers, driving the development of sophisticated big data solutions. This position blends hands-on coding with client engagement and team collaboration.
This role is an opportunity to make a significant impact by transforming high-volume data into actionable insights for  clients.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior data engineers within an agile framework.

  • Develop efficient, fault-tolerant code for production-level data processing systems.

  • Configure and deploy software using tools like Spark, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, aiding in decision-making.

  • Collaborate with solution architects and R&D engineers to establish best practices and standards for complex data challenges.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years in data engineering or a related field, with 2+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.

  • Experience in building and deploying production data processing systems.

  • Familiarity with modern development tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker) and practices.

  • Strong technical communication skills, adaptable to client needs.

  • Knowledge of testing libraries and practices in programming.

  • Experience in mentoring or developing team members.

  • Enthusiasm for business growth and leading initiatives.

Salary: Up to MYR40K per month plus 20% - 25% bonus
