Lead Data Scientist

Job description

​A fantastic opportunity to work with a global financial services company developing cutting edge AI products and solutions. This role will work closely with the business to understand their requirements and develop commercially viable AI products and solutions in response. This is a leadership role that will manage a team of data scientists in the HQ. 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Model Development: Lead the creation and implementation of machine learning models to address complex business challenges using various techniques like linear regression, logistic regression, and decision trees.

  • Technica Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the team

  • Resource Management: Ensure efficient use of team resources to meet deadlines.

  • Predictive Modeling: Develop models to optimize agent leads.

  • Collaboration: Work with Application teams to capture the full end-to-end process and engage with stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs.

  • Empowerment: Support and mentor citizen data scientists in leveraging data for their own projects.

  • Governance: Maintain ethical and responsible use of data through established governance practices.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in machine learning and data science.

  • Team Culture: Promote innovation, collaboration, and ongoing learning within the team

Requirements:
  • Experience: Over 10 years in data science or a related field, with experience in financial service including 5+ years of experience of leading teams

  • Experience within financial services 

  • Technical Skills: Strong grasp of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling, particularly using Scikit-learn; proficiency in Databricks, Python, PySpark, and SQL.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

 

Salary: SGD 200k - 240K annual base plus bonus
