Kubernetes Engineer

​A leading global bank is expanding its engineering division in the Philippines and is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer Lead. This role will be part of a division that oversees the Internal Development Platform used by IT development teams across different business units. They are looking for a subject matter expert (SME) in containers and orchestration to join the Container Platforms team.

Responsibilities

🔹 Platform Development & Support – Design, develop, and maintain container hosting platforms (OCP, EKS, AKS, Podman).
🔹 Application Modernization – Assist in re-architecting and migrating applications to container and microservices platforms.
🔹 Pre-Launch Services – Support system design, software development, capacity planning, and reviews.
🔹 Feature Ownership – Deliver features in Container Platform sprints, including peer programming and reviews.
🔹 Incident Management – Participate in on-call support and resolve platform or customer issues.
🔹 Mentorship – Train and support customer engineers in diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.
🔹 Security & Compliance – Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, ensuring platform security.

Requirements:

✅ Containerisation & Orchestration Expertise – SME in Kubernetes, handling cluster management, deployment, scaling, upgrades, security, and monitoring.
✅ CI/CD Pipeline Experience – Proven ability to build and maintain robust CI/CD workflows.
✅ Cloud Expertise – Hands-on experience in AWS or Azure, particularly with EKS and AKS.
✅ Application Migration – Ability to re-architect and migrate applications to a container and microservices platform.
✅ OpenShift Knowledge – Experience with OpenShift is a plus.
