Head of Technology - Cards

Job description

A prominent bank is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Cards Technology to lead their cards technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for steering the strategic direction and execution of the bank's cards technology initiatives. This role demands extensive experience in cards technology within a large banking organisation, strong leadership skills and a demonstrable track record managing complex technology projects. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of technology strategies to support the cards business.

  • Oversee the integration and optimization of cards technology platforms.

  • Collaborate with senior management to align technology initiatives with business goals.

  • Manage a team of technology professionals, providing guidance, mentorship and performance management.

  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cards technology solutions.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

  • Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Extensive experience in cards technology within a large banking organisation.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.

  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.

  • Ability to communicate with interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strategic thinker a proactive approach to problem-solving

Salary: Up to USD25k monthly (negotiable) + 2-3 Months bonus
