Head of Data

Job description

My client is a global financial services company that is hiring a Head of Data to manage their ecosystem of web/mobile applications and the data that flows through every stage of the processes. This will involve topics such as Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Modelling, Data Storage, Management Information Systems (MIS), etc.. 

Responsibilities
  • Engage in all stages from requirements gathering to deployment of data and analytics frameworks.

  • Design tools for data collection across the organisation's platforms and establish engineering standards.

  • Write code, create specifications, oversee testing, and manage solution rollouts.

  • Address challenges with data storage and cloud-native applications, ensuring compliance.

  • Build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for production-grade products.

  • Create web services to integrate analytics with applications.


Requirements
  • Strong experience in building scalable data platforms and data engineering (streaming, ETL, warehousing).

  • Proficient in programming, microservices, data integration workflows using APIs, and PowerBI.

  • Expertise in some cloud-native tools (Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.) and building data lakes/warehouses.

  • Experience with recommendation engines and leveraging AI/ML for customer insights.

  • Strong knowledge of databases and data processing technologies.

  • Experience in public cloud, containerization and orchestration tools.

Salary : Up to IDR120 million/month
